Prayer request and picture update

Hey everyone...this is Brew writing.

I wanted to pass along some information so that you all can pray. This week, the violence in the Juarez area struck close to the orphanage. Unfortunately, the owner of a local Guadalupe store was kidnapped and held for a small ransom. This is somewhat of a common crime right now in the Juarez area. He was targeted probably because he was a small business owner who probably had money on hand. The family paid the money, but sadly, he was killed and his body was found in Guadalupe near the Ranch. Please pray for Dean, as he reaches out to the family in this difficult time. Dean is attempting to care for them, and we should pray for his family during this time.

The proximity of this crime to the Ranch has caused week 2 to alter their plans. Though most of these crimes, including this one, happens during the day to individuals by themselves, we are still taking steps to provide safety for all on the Ranch. Curfew will be earlier than normal, and everyone will stay in large groups while on the ranch. We have given each family the option of staying or going to El Paso for the remainder of the week. Those in El Paso are helping the Sovereign Grace church move from their old building into the new one. God always has good works prepared in advance for us to do no matter where we are!

Please pray for these things:
1. Pray for the family of the man who was killed. Pray that Dean will be used by God to comfort this family in their grief.
2. Pray that, through these tragic circumstances, the gospel goes forward in the lives and hearts of many many people in the Guadalupe area.
3. Pray for continues safety of all those at the ranch...our team, the kids there, and the staff. Our team will be leaving in just a few days, but the kids and staff live there and live in this environment year round.

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them in the comment section, or by emailing me. Grateful for each of you, and grateful to be praying these things together!

Below is a picture Matt sent me last night. The progress they are making is amazing! Makes me want to go back! I miss being there already!
