Construction - Day 2

This picture was taken at the start of Day 2. El Heffe (aka: Mr. Tvarzdik) debriefs everyone on what we'll be doing.

At the end of day 2, we have completed all four walls on the baby home! Even though it was really hot today (109 in Juarez...hottest day for the year on record), everyone worked really hard today, and as a result we are bit ahead of schedule!

We had to lift the walls into place...and needed all hands on deck to do it.

Matt is a beast with the saw. He cut out the windows and doors for the entire building!

Wall #2 going up!

VBS and the camps are going super well too! I think the highlight, from what I've heard, is the sowing camp that Jenna, Katie and Katie are doing with the girls. So far, they've each made their own purses and skirts, and the little girls are so excited to see what they've accomplished!

  4. Jenna and Katie,

Way to go on the sewing camp! It's great to see you using the gifts and skills God has given you to bless the girls in such a practical and fun way. These children are experiencing God's love and care for them through you!
