Towards the end of the week, everyone starts to drag a bit more. Despite everyone being tired, every single person is still serving so faithfully and with such diligence. This morning, during worship, we took time to encourage and honor each other for various ways of serving behind the scenes. It was great to hear everyone honoring each other!
Below is a picture from the hike we took yesterday. This is from the valley looking up.
Below: This is a picture of the building as of yesterday evening. The interior walls are framed and up, and we put up a portion of the second floor. Today, we hope to finish the second floor decking.
On the hike yesterday, we had to dodge various desert plants. These cacti have some serious spikes on the end. There were bunches of people that got them in their legs, and I spent the evening getting them out of people's legs. They are not dangerous at all, and will eventually work themselves out (according to Dean), but some of them were painful and needed to come out. Below are some shots Andy took while we were trying to get one out of Janelle's leg. It turned out to be a big one!
